Emily’s Adulting Adventures: Moving Out

Guys, it has finally happened.

Those who know me know that I’ve been saying “I’m moving out” for about the last 6 months… Yeah I know, what the hell right?

But I can explain… Ish. Well, firstly I needed to save money (it’s not called Diaries of a Broke A** Montreal Girl for nothing). Secondly, my future apartment needed a little TLC. 6 months, a new kitchen and 3 coats of paint later, my apartment was actually starting to come together.

The next step was furniture. As much as I love my mom, if she says we should go to Structube “just to look around”, I should know better. Now 6 months, a new kitchen, 3 coats of paint and $4,000 worth of furniture later, my apartment was really coming along.

My favourite part of my place has to be my bedroom. I swear I made it look like something straight out of a Tumblr famous blog (i.e.: white, fairy lights and art from Society6). I mean just look at it.

All in all, even though it’s been a very long and expensive process, I can truly look at the apartment and feel like it’s really my place.

Now if only I could get my oven to work so I could eat something other than freakin’ avocado on toast…
